Wow November is here

Can someone please tell me where this year has gone. It seems to have flashed by so quickly. Can't believe its November already - nearly Christmas and still so much to do before that comes.
Today's card uses an image from one of my favourite companies - Stamps Happen.
Materials: Black cardstock, gold cardstock, white cardstock, mauve and pink pattern scrapbook paper, Stamps Happen stamp, Black Brilliance ink pad, Glue pen, Gold glitter, Prima flower, Metal word charm, watercolor pencils, waterbrush, gold pen.
Method: Fold black cardstock to form cardbase. Add strip of mauve pattern scrapbook paper to cardfront as shown. Use black brilliance ink pad to stamp image onto white cardstock and go around edges with gold pen and mount onto black and then gold cardstock and then to cardfront. Ballgowns

Now what girl wouldn't love a dress like this.....
The stamp is from Stamps Happen. I adore their stamps - they are mounted and they stamp beautifully and they have a large range. The backing papers are from Pink Petticoat.
I have used Cream for the base card. I then printed out chocolate brown and pink swirl paper and Pink and Chocolate brown dot papers from Pink Petticoat CD and went around the edges with a pink color box ink pad and then attached to cardfront as shown. I then added a strip of Pink Bazzil cardstock. I stamped the dress image using Black Brilliance ink pad onto cream cardstock and coloured in using chalks. I then went around edges with gold pen and attached to cardfront but first secured some brown and white dot ribbon behind the image. I then added some pearls and a flower.

At the seaside

Just for a change - a small card - I rarely make them these days as I normally do 14 x 14 square cards or large cards.
For this card I used white cardstock for the base and then I stamped image directly onto cardfront and then stamped it once again onto white cardstock using black Brilliance ink pad. I coloured in both images (not the house area on the second image) using watercolor paints and waterbrush. I then cut out the second image - just parts of it attached it over the image on the card using foam dots. Then I added some stickles to highlight a couple of areas of the image including the seagulls.
This card makes me think of lazy summer days.

Card of the Day - Bridget Jones panties

Now doesn't this card just scream "Big girl panties" a la Bridget Jones. Always have to laugh when I think of that movie.
These two stamps are from Stamps Happen who have long been one of my favourite companies. Their images are really beautiful.
I used a cream cardstock as the base and added a strip of black cardstock black and gold swirl paper. I then stamped the images onto cream cardstock using black Brilliance ink pad and then trimmed to size and went around the edges with a gold pen and mounted onto black and then gold cardstock. I then glittered the bra and panties with black glitter and the M with gold glitter.
